Hello again. I meant to post again last night but I was too tired by the time I got home and finished with all our fun stuff there. We are expecting some out of town guests for the weekend and I have to stock up and clean up. The house is looking good...I still have work in the guest room though. I am waiting to change the bedding until the day they arrive. My cats love the guest bed so I want to wait as long as I can before I start changing them. I also have some baking to do. I found a recipe (it's not healthy) for some Irish Car Bomb cupcakes. I am excited about making these. They look great! My husband is interested too. It is one of his favorite shot/drinks so he is curious to see if the cupcakes will really taste like the real thing. I also got a recipe from the Smitten Kitchen for some Berry Crisp Bars. They look great! List night my fish and potato packets turned out okay. I was in the mood for fish so it was the perfect fix for me. Here is my menu for today:
I have points left over so I might have another snack during the day.
I brought 2pts of low fat animal crackers just incase I was hungry.

So I have been meaning to mention another blog I have been following for the past couple of months. It is the Pillow Astronaut. A young lady, Heather A., has been in a NASA study to test the effects of zero gravity on the body. She has to lay in bed for 90 days at a -6 degree tilt. This helps to show the kind of muscle loss that astronauts experience in outer space. To be honest I am sure I butchered the information about the study she is in. But if you get the chance check her blog out. It is REALLY interesting. She is also having a post card exchange, incase you are interested. I emailed her about it and we are going to mail each other post cards. I am trying to find the best German post card I can find and she is going to send me one from Johnson Space Center. How cool is that?!! Anyways I should get back to work. I have a lot to catch up on so blogging should not be my priority right now...lol.
Okay. So today's best efforts are to eat right and say NO to something I would have normally gobbled up. So my goal is to pass up soda and the last few Soft Batch cookies at home. I have a good day planned with three healthy meals, snacks and 3 points left over. I have not made it to the gym in about 2 weeks. I was going to linger and dwell on that fact but I just need to keep my chin up and worry about eating right (again).
Anyways here is my food journal for today. I might have a new recipe to post too.
Last night as we were watching a movie we noticed something skitter across the floor. It was an 8 legged intruder a little bit bigger than a quarter. Well...I am fairly scared to death of spiders so lets just say I freaked out a little bit. My husband on the other hand said "Hey, let's see what the male cat will do with it. Maybe he will chase it around." All I could think of is what if it bites the cat or gets away and we do not end up killing it. Anyways my husband put the cat near it and made sure the bug moved so it would catch the cats attention. LOL...my cat took a distant sniff of the spider and bolted. He ran all the way to our bedroom and hid under the bed. Apparently, he does not like 8 legged friends either. My husband let the spidey run around for a while and then killed it. I was safe since I was standing on top of the couch. (Don't laugh too hard....lol)
BTW, we watched What Happens In Vegas last night. It was cute. In the special features you can find a drinking game that plays through the length of the movie. I think we are going to try it out this weekend...maybe.
